Easyshift.co.uk, as a responsible removals’ operator, have always advocated providing the requisite level of insurance cover for your goods whilst they are in our care. To this end, we offer a variety of differing levels of insurance cover, ranging from £5000.00 - bronze, to £10,000- silver, up to £20,000 - gold. Please advise us of the true value of your possessions and we’ll arrange for your cover to be in place. The full detail of our insurance is detailed below and on a downloadable pdf file on our home page. As with any of the services we provide, should you have any questions at any time, about anything, please either call or e-mail, we’ll be more than happy to help.
BRONZE LEVEL
This is our standard level of insurance cover and comes for free with all moves. The type of insurance we provide on your behalf is “Goods in Transit Insurance”. It provides our customers with £5000.00 of cover for their goods whilst they are in our care, and is perfect for smaller moves, or those whose goods fall below the £5000.00 threshold.
SILVER LEVEL
This is our mid-level of insurance, covering your goods up to the value of £10,000 and carries an additional premium of £75.00 in addition to the agreed cost of your move. Again the type of cover is “Goods in Transit Insurance”, and is perfect for most moves, or those, whose goods’ value falls below the £10,000.00 threshold but above the £5000.00. Remember to be as accurate as possible when evaluating the true value of your goods, there may well be one or two items, that although small, may easily carry the whole value to within the sliver level.
GOLD LEVEL
This is our high-level of insurance, covering your goods up to the value of £20,000 and carries an additional premium of £150.00 in addition to the agreed cost of your move. Again the type of cover is “Goods in Transit Insurance”, and is perfect for those movers who are lucky enough to be able to value their goods above £10,000 but below £20,000. Again, remember to be as accurate as possible when evaluating the true value of your goods, we only have the one chance to accurately arrange for the correct level of cover for your goods to be in place.
PLATINUM LEVEL
Very, very rarely, we are asked to provide cover for fine art, jewellery, or objets d’art. In these instances, occasionally, even our highest level of cover is not enough, and we are asked to provide insurance to a higher value. In these circumstances we can provide, by detailed arrangement, cover up to the value of £50,000. This carries an additional premium of £250.00 in addition to the agreed cost of your move. Again the type of cover is “Goods in Transit Insurance”. In these special circumstances we would need an inventory of all your higher valued items and a brief description. Again, remember to be as accurate as possible when evaluating the actual value of your goods, however we’re pretty sure that if you ask for this level of cover then you’ve got a fairly good idea of their total worth!
EXCESS
As with all insurance cover, there is an excess figure to be paid in the event of a claim, this is currently £175.00.
